How do I find the Mac model number?

How do i find the serial number of the Mac?
From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, select About This Mac. You will find the serial number listed in the displayed information.
If your Mac won’t turn on. Your Mac’s serial number is printed on the bottom side of the device, so you’ll be able to find it even if you can’t turn your Mac on. Simply flip over your MacBook, and you’ll see the serial number printed on the Mac itself.

How Much Does It Cost to Replace a MacBook Battery?

How do I check my MacBook battery health?
Modern MacBooks are fitted with batteries that are expected to last for up to 1000 cycles before needing a battery replacement. This number represents the sum of total and partial discharge cycles throughout the life of the battery. You can see the cycle count limit by clicking on ‘System Report’ in ‘About this Mac’
- Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen.
- Select “About This Mac” from the dropdown menu.
- On the left-hand side, click Power
Look for the “Health Information” section. Here, you will see the “Cycle Count” (the number of charge cycles your battery has been through) and the “Condition” of your battery (such as “Normal,” “Replace Soon,” or “Replace Now”).
Your MacBook uses charge cycle to determine how many times your battery has been charged. For example, if you used your MacBook one day and used 50% of the battery charge, then charged it back up to 100%, then the following day you did the same. This would count as one cycle.
How do I fix the service battery warning on Mac?
If you have the “Service Battery” warning on your Mac, you can try the SMC reset and battery recalibration.
Reset the SMC (System Management Controller):
- Shut down your Mac.
- Press and hold the Shift + Control + Option keys on the left side of the built-in keyboard, then press the power button simultaneously. Hold these keys and the power button for 10 seconds.
- Release all keys.
Press the power button again to turn on your Mac. - Check Battery Health: Go to the Apple menu > About This Mac > System Report. Click Power in the Hardware section and check the Cycle Count and Condition.
How to calibrate Mac battery?
- Charge your Mac to 100% and then keep it connected to the power adapter for at least two hours.
- Disconnect the power adapter and use your Mac until it shuts down automatically. Leave it for at least 5 hours to drain completely. ( Run a program such as a YouTube video to prevent the Mac from going to sleep mode.)
- Recharge your Mac to 100% without interruption.
- This should calibrate your battery
If the “Service Battery” warning persists even after resetting the SMC and calibrating the battery, it indicates that the battery has deteriorated significantly and needs to be replaced.
